The Thrill Of Flying
We are confident that the student pilot will thoroughly enjoy the experience of flying and will cherish the memory for many years.
We offer various Trial Flying Lessons. You can opt for a 30 minute or 1 hour lesson, giving you a good taster of what it’s like to pilot a light aircraft. If you want a more in-depth experience why not opt for the very special Land Away experience where you will fly to a choice of local airfield. Here you will land and enjoy a break on the ground giving you time for a drink, snack or the opportunity to talk about learning to fly with your Instructor. You will then fly back to Lower Upham where you will receive your certificate.
What To Expect
On arrival at Solent Flight, you will be introduced to your Flying Instructor. Once you have completed the necessary paperwork formalities and safety briefing, you will head out to the aircraft where your Instructor will explain how to control it in flight, before climbing aboard, starting up and taxiing out for your lesson.
All of our Trial Flying Lessons count towards your flying hours should you go on to learn to fly.
